Ace Handyman Services Fairfield and New Haven
Work quality is solid and staff come across as genuinely attentive, with owner John known for same-day starts and updates. The real friction is pricing: multiple reviewers flagged hourly rates plus residential charges as deceptive, especially when simple jobs balloon to $600-$1000+, and when handymen arrive unprepared and abandon jobs mid-task. A handful of serious incidents (unexplained site visit, zero follow-up after early departure) suggest accountability can slip. Interior and exterior repairs, cabinet install, gutters, and drywall patch work are all mentioned. Technicians like Rafael, Jai, Sasha, and Jamie are named specifically. Fair warning: get a detailed written quote and timeline upfront, not a range, because the gap between estimate and final bill has stung enough reviewers to warrant caution.
